To those who walk in a manner worthy of the Lord-May Christ bless you all this week. May He be exalted in every word, thought, and deed that comes from each of us.Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20May this be the heart of every Christian, especially the male evangelists who continue to go into the streets preaching and teaching the Word (especially me). Some may say we are too hard on ourselves as Christians when it comes to sin. That's not what the Bible says and that is not what bold theologians preached throughout history. We are not penitent enough. The Bible commands us to hate the flesh to the point of murdering it.When Isaiah saw his true state before God in chapter 6, he said "Woe is me!"Job, when confronted with the true character of God, said, "therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes" (42:6).King David, a man after God's own heart, after fornicating and murdering said, "For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight...Cast me not away from your presence...a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."The book of 1 John makes it very clear, "Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil" (3:8).Lord Jesus, help us to see and hate sin the way you see and hate it!God continues to work and continues to allow us to be a part of His miracles.Scott and I were witnessing to a young lady, Stephanie, at the Rockdale County Fair. She is Catholic and trusting in her own piety to get her into heaven. As Scott began to strip away her self-righteousness using the law, she began to squirm a little. But her countenance eventually changed and in desperation, no longer able to cling to her good works, she demanded Scott tell her what she had to do to be saved. We were able to share a lot of truth with her. At some points she said she wanted to walk away, but she stayed and listened to the whole gospel. She then took my tract on Catholicism and One Heartbeat Away. Pray the enemy does not choke the Truth she heard. It seemed that God's Spirit was working all week as I got to be a part of Scott, Stephanie, and Mark's ministry in Conyers. We had so many gospel-filled conversations that led to Bibles, tracts, and other resources being put into the hands of those who needed them. There is always a surprise waiting at the courthouse. Last week, I was working on defeating fear so I approached a person who I did not think would be receptive. I was actually correct on this one. He took one glance at it and said "F$#! Jesus!" He then began to lay into me and anyone else who believes this S!!!! Surprisingly he stuck around to smoke another cigarette as I gently proceeded with Truth. Well, he wasn't converted, but I did get to share a little of God's Word with him. I was encouraged because I remembered a story I heard. There was a lost person who was approached by a Christian. In the eyes of the lost person, he destroyed the Christian in every possible argument for God. Well, the lost person actually became born again and he attributed it partly to that Christian approaching him. He said even though he felt he won the argument, he couldn't help but respect the fact that this Christian would even approach him. So, you never know what a lost person is thinking and how God's Spirit may already be working.Pastor Dave Farmer led his flock out to the Duluth Fall Festival this past Sunday and I am so grateful to all the evangelists who came to help train them in sharing their faith: Lance, Eddie, Ben, Franklin, and Chris.I am leading them through the WOTM basic training and this was our first outing together as a group. They were so bold for Jesus Christ. One could tell, they were not leaning on their own strength, but on Jesus Christ and His Word. Thanks to all who attended.Pictures and new video on the website. Please also, check out Bill Adams and his ministry as he seeks to proclaim our King at Superbowl XLIII. He is looking for those who want to serve Christ by way of mission trips to sporting events leading up to the Superbowl.Lord, take me home, but until then send me many souls to bring with me."because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing-as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth." To those who pursue righteousness and seek the Lord-As I continue to go out to the streets and share my faith, I always want to question my motivation. I question my motivation for the website, the updates, and the pictures as well. I want to make sure that what I do magnifies the Lord Jesus Christ and diminishes Keith Higgins. I know I do not do a great job at this, but I want to strive to seek first His kingdom. Many times I have considered shutting it all down and just keeping it to myself. That still may happen eventually. But for now, I only want to be obedient to my King and encourage others to do the same. If I do not do this on a regular basis then please confront me. I don't want pride, or arrogance. I do want to challenge and lead others to godly grief that leads to repentance...but that should come from the truth of God's Word and not from the mouth of Keith Higgins. Please help your brother in Christ succeed in this mission.I did want to officially announce to those who don't know that currently I am doing part time substitute teaching and full time ministry work. This is a little scary, but I believe it is God's leading for now. It may change next year as I continue my education as a teacher, but for now God has called me to the mission field here in Georgia. Many people travel to other countries, but I believe that America needs the true gospel and I want to help bring it to them. I do open air preaching, tract distribution, one to one witnessing, and door-to-door evangelism on a daily basis. I also make a point to witness at many of the large events in Atlanta, Athens, Conyers, Gwinnett, and other local areas including local states around Georgia. Please keep me in prayer as I strive to be Christ's missionary and God's mouthpiece.I had a guy yell out at me at the courthouse telling me to join the army. It was a little ironic since I am already a part of the Army. Just not of one that we can see.Ben, Rachel, and I had the privilege of being with Fish for Christ (Scott, Stephanie, and Mark) this past weekend at the Rockdale County Fair. I will also be going back some days this week so please contact me if you would like to come along. Pictures on the website.Scott and I spoke with Chelsea. She said she was a Christian and that she had been saved. We asked her what she had been saved from. This question always seems to throw off Christians. She asked what we meant. I said, "You know like if Superman was saving a woman from falling off a building." He would be saving her from falling and dying. She still did not know how to answer. Scott then took her through the law and shared the consequences of sin. Together we administered the true gospel to her and she responded with a look of true understanding and deep sincerity. As we finished, she said she had to go, but she said, "Thank you so much for sharing this with me," as she shook our hands. I don't know if she really is a Christian, but after hearing the true gospel she really understood why Christ came to die. Pray that she will be born again. We left her with a tract and she gave me her email so I could send her some more resources.I got to observe some powerful witnessing encounters where Mark and Stephanie were pleading (almost in tears) with a group of young kids to come to Christ before they died and spent eternity in hell. Ben and Scott as well were involved in an intense conversation with two practicing homosexuals. They left dropping the tracts in the water with Ben and Scott compelling them to come to Christ. One couple, Eddie and Heather, knew some of the Christian lingo, but as I prodded further they realized that Christ was not their Savior and Lord. I was able to share the complete gospel with them and pray with them. Eddie then asked if I knew of a church because they wanted to start attending one. I got his email to send him directions to a church and I left Eddie with One Heartbeat Away. I strongly urged them to spend some time that evening in prayer considering the things we spoke of. Pray that God would move them to repentance and faith.I also have been going to Georgia State and witnessing on campus during some days. I spoke with two brothers, Ben and Ciprian, who were both atheists. They were so convinced there was no God that Ciprian told me if he saw Jesus coming down in the clouds like the Bible says, he would just think it was aliens or something. These young people are so deceived by satan and we as Christians should be bringing the light to them. Please, if you have time, join me in going to Georgia State in Atlanta. Contact me for details.More updates and pictures on the website.God is so faithful and good and He continues to allow wretches like me to be a part of such amazing experiences. I was talking about this to Scott. We both agreed that we wish we could take these joyful feelings and amazing experiences and transplant them to the hearts of believers. That really is the motive that I want to convey through these emails. I want to glorify Christ first, and second bring encouragement and exhortation to the body. May Christ bless and enrich you all. Amen.Lord, take me home, but until then send me many souls to bring with me."And so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. To those who have the Lord as a pledge of safety-30And the Lord will cause his majestic voice to be heard and the descending blow of his arm to be seen, in furious anger and a flame of devouring fire, with a cloudburst and storm and hailstones. 31The Assyrians will be terror-stricken at the voice of the Lord, when he strikes with his rod. 32And every stroke of the appointed staff that the Lord lays on them will be to the sound of tambourines and lyres. Battling with brandished arm, he will fight with them. 33For a burning place has long been prepared; indeed, for the king it is made ready, its pyre made deep and wide, with fire and wood in abundance; the breath of the Lord, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it. Isaiah 30:30-33I have heard people say before that God does not send people to hell, but rather they choose to go. People may make that rebellious choice to live in their sin and not repent thus condemning them to hell, but it seems pretty clear from this passage and others that God is pretty involved in the process of punishment as well.Look at the language: God's arm of judgment will be known in furious anger. The ones being judged are terror-stricken. He strikes with His rod. And there is a soundtrack to his blows. There is actually music being played by tambourines and lyres as He judges. The burning place was not only prepared, but it is continually being kindled by God's sulfuric breath. What an amazing picture of God's judgment! And remember that God has not changed just because we have the New Testament. We must love and worship God even in His just judgment. We should not sugarcoat God's judgment just because we feel uncomfortable with His ways. Remember that His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. We were at the Gwinnett County Fair this past weekend for the third year in a row. I can't believe I am actually beginning my third year of sharing my faith. Christ has brought me so far. He has really shown me His grace by allowing me to be a part of so much. I realize more and more that Christ has granted me a gift by giving me a passion for evangelism and I am grateful to Him. I also had the privilege of ministering with Ben Davis who two years ago asked me to go out witnessing with him at the fair. I reluctantly said yes and painstakingly handed out all of the tracts he gave me. I look back on that learning experience and praise Jesus Christ for using Ben in my life doing something in me that I never would have done naturally. There is good news about the fair and bad news. The good news is that we got to share with tons of people and hand out lots of tracts with no problems from security. The bad news is that we talked with many professing Christians who could not explain why they were Christians or why others needed to become Christians. Many of these young kids in Gwinnett County attended churches that I am sure you would know.We were at the skate park on Friday night. As I was preaching, a young man came up to me named Mike. He was a professing Christian and was trying to tell me what I should do in order to reach the kids there. I continued preaching as Carolina shared with him. A few minutes later he was in front of me again, this time saying, "Hail Satan." When I was done preaching I began a conversation with him. I asked if he was a Christian. He said he was. I said then why on earth was he saying Hail Satan. He said he was trying to distract people from listening to the preaching. And this guy is a Christian? He said that I was turning people away from God (saying "Hail Satan" draws people to God?) and that I should just hang out with the kids and tell them about God as I get to know them. He said that is what one Christian guy did with him and that is why he became a Christian. I then began to question his Christianity. After talking with him about five minutes he admitted he did not read the Bible, he did not believe the Bible, he did not pray, he gets drunk on the weekends, and he was cursing excessively as we talked. I then asked what is the difference between him and someone who is not a Christian. He said, "There is no difference." And this is the way some Christian is witnessing to Mike, by telling him there is no difference between believers and nonbelievers? Mike did not understand Christ or the cross, so I realized quickly that he was a false convert. I asked why he chose to be a Christian. He said because he had something missing in his heart and he asked Jesus to fill it. This sounds very familiar. By the end of the conversation, he was realizing from scripture that maybe he was not a Christian. I challenged him to get alone with God that night with the Word. I said he should examine his life in light of Scripture to see if he is saved and if he is not, he can ask God to change him. He said he might pray that night to God. He then said that I should remember to pray for him. As I was having my quiet time that evening God brought Mike to mind so I prayed that Christ would reveal Himself to him.We got to minister with Chris and others from FBA on Saturday which was a blessing. Chris and I had a great conversation with some young guys by the World of Coke and then we got to drink some ice cold Powerade as we baked in the sun. God is good!Pictures and more updates on the website.Lord, take me home, but until then send me many souls to bring with me."What then?
